On March 29, the Rose Andom Center, the Rocky Mountain Region’s only family justice center, will host supporters at the Third Annual New Experience Gala in the Helen Bonfils Theatre Complex and Seawell Ballroom at the Denver Center for Performing Arts.

“The New Experience Gala brings together the community of individuals and organizations who made this incredible facility possible, while introducing new supporters to the cause,” said Heather Rule Grady, event co-chair. “The night honors survivors who have been able start a new journey of healing through the help, support and resources available at the Rose Andom Center.”

The signature fundraising event was introduced in 2017 to coincide with the Rose Andom Center’s first year of operation. Each month, the Center sees more than 200 survivors who received help from the 15 community partner organizations and seven government agencies which provide access to advocacy, crisis intervention, law enforcement and social services.

“Much as those who seek help from the Rose Andom Center begin their journey to hope and healing when they walk through our doors, our Third Annual New Experience Celebration will take supporters on a journey of their own,” Executive Director Margaret Abrams said. “Giving victims one place to go to navigate the myriad of services available improves outcomes. Our clients tell us about the hope they feel coming here, because of the support and resources made available.”

A highlight of the event will be keynote speaker Diane Millich, who will share her story and her journey from victim to survivor to advocate against domestic violence. We will also award the Maggie & Mitch Morrissey Community Leadership Award to former Colorado Attorney General Cynthia H. Coffman in honor of her longtime support of the Rose Andom Center.

This year’s event, Beginning Your Journey, will feature a travel theme where attendees will enjoy a vintage cocktail reception with silent auction, where guests will be given an opportunity to bid on new experiences to enjoy after the celebration. Following the reception, guests will enjoy an elegant dinner in various “destinations” followed by the program and an after-party dance.

Tickets for this can’t-miss event are $250 and sponsorship opportunities start at $3,000. Fundraising from the event directly benefits the Rose Andom Center to improve the lives of domestic violence victims and their children.
