Local 12 – WKRC Cincinnati
NORTH COLLEGE HILL, Ohio (WKRC) — Wednesday morning, Oct. 14, an effort spearheaded by a local family will be unveiled in Ohio’s capital. Monica Jeter died nearly a year ago. Police said her husband murdered her. In the months before her death Jeter had been choked by her husband. He had been charged with domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Her family has wondered whether she’d still be alive if strangulation had been a felony. Wednesday they will be joined by legislators to introduce “Monica’s Law,” which would do just that.
