How to Talk About Transgender People
Strength United identifies four ways to be more culturally responsive when talking about transgender people: (1) always use the current names of trans people, (2) when possible, ask people about their pronouns, (3) do not mock or air-quote trans people's names, and (4) avoid questions about hormones, surgeries, and genitals. This two-page publication is a resource to better support and stand with staff and survivors in the LGBTQIA+ community.
This publication is in both English and Spanish.
